A from-scratch site development project with a twist; in addition to being built in WordPress, the client also specified that the site should use the Thesis WordPress framework, allowing him to make his own design and content updates with minimal backend coding required.
The real challenge of this site, as a result, was writing all the custom functionality and dynamic PHP structures that generate the front-end content. Plugins were avoided where possible to keep the site efficient, so almost all the unique custom features are hand-coded.
This site was also an exercise in balance – weighing sleek, modern design functionality against the need for legacy browser support, and ensuring a smooth experience regardless of user platform.
